Dear friends and readers, Christmas has started over here. There was a formal inauguration the first of December that we missed for some reason. Today December 7, however, is the day of the candles, a day dedicated to Virgin Mary and marking the beginning of the Christmas celebrations in Colombia.
We're spending the evening walking through the Cali river to enjoy the amazing decorations of lights. Today, the tradition is to decorate balconies, pavements, streets, parks and squares with candles honoring Virgin Mary. In Cali, we can already hear a lot of fireworks as well.
